Our commitment
My Village is operated by Innovation Village Group as a membership and community and enterprise platform. You do not need an account to browse spaces, request a venue quotation or register for a public event. We use the information you submit to manage the requested service and protect the platform.
Information we collect
This may include your name, work email, organisation, location, participation category, membership goals, account-security records, event registrations, organisation claims and information you add to a member profile. A guest enquiry or registration includes your name, email, telephone number, organisation if provided, event or space preferences, dates, expected attendance and requirements. Technical request records help us limit abuse. Avoid providing identity documents or unnecessary health or other sensitive information in a public enquiry.
How we use it
We use this information to create and secure your account, review membership, operate the member directory, manage events and claims, improve community services, prevent abuse and communicate about your participation. Guest contact details and venue requests are private operational records, not public listings. Submitting a venue enquiry does not subscribe you to promotional mailing lists.
Service providers and retention
Cloudflare provides application hosting, database and private file storage. Resend provides transactional email when configured. These services may process information outside Uganda. Authorised staff use operational records to respond, manage bookings and handle support requests. Records are retained only as needed for those purposes and applicable obligations. Contact us about retention or deletion.
Who can see it
Public organisation information can appear in the directory. Approved members may receive access to additional community information. Authorised IVG staff can review applications and operational records. We do not sell member data.
Cookies and security
My Village uses an essential secure session cookie to keep signed-in accounts working. Passwords are salted and one-way hashed. We apply access controls, rate limits and security headers, while continuously improving these safeguards.
Your choices
You may ask to access, correct or delete information associated with your account, subject to legal and operational requirements. Contact info@innovationvillage.co.ug.
